This small lot Cabernet Sauvignon is truly a special bottle, as it pays tribute to our grandfather and founder Jack Leroy Cox. A businessman-turned-farmer, JLC finished deals with a handshake and was always jotting down ideas on scraps of paper. He wasn’t just a dreamer, he was a doer. Jack’s unique signature, which looks like a doodle to most, acts as a stamp of approval on this beautiful, full-bodied red. Our organic Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grow atop Jack’s Ridge in red volcanic soil. Overlooking the Ukiah Valley, this spot was Jack’s favorite on our family ranch. A dark red hue in the glass, JLC Cabernet is brimming with aromas of cassis and dark berry. The first taste shows balanced acidity with rich, earthy notes. Silky tannins enhance the finish and will aid in cellaring this wine long-term.
