Meet The Cox Vineyards Family

Chuck Vau

Born and raised in Mendocino County, Chuck began working at Cox Vineyards when he was just a teenager and dating the boss's daughter (a.k.a. our mom). With initially only 30 acres of vineyard, Chuck planted the majority of Cox Vineyards. Most everything he knows about viticulture, he credits to hands-on experiences in the vineyards. He is an invaluable part of Cox Vineyards and has a deep respect and love for the land he farms organically. He hardly ever takes a day off, but when he does, he loves heading over to the nearby Mendocino Coast to fish on his boat.

Kerri Vau

Kerri Vau (nee Cox) has been a part of Cox Vineyards since the very beginning, watching her father make his vineyard dreams a reality. She has placed a crucial role in revitalizing our ranch grounds, spearheading projects like landscaping and our gorgeous gated entry. She also conceptualized our first label, Boeket, which was refreshed by her daughters in 2020. She recently completed her dream ranch home, which was built in the footprints of the home she spent her formative years in. When she's not at the ranch, she can be found hunting for antiques or helping others find their dream property.

Whitney Seckora

Whitney's (née Vau) passion for the great outdoors and agriculture influences the way she lives life. She received her B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Business Agriculture from California State University - Chico. After graduation, she moved back home to the Ukiah Valley to pursue a career in real estate. She loves helping others plant their roots in this county she calls home. She also works harvest alongside her dad and loves being so hands-on.

Lauren Vau

From a young age, Lauren was curious about the vineyards. She loved measuring sugars with her refractometer and quickly learned how tedious crop thinning can be. An outlier in the family, she went the Liberal Arts education route, receiving her B.A. in both English and Theatre Arts & Communications from Whittier College. She established her wine and lifestyle blog, Pinot & Peep Toes, after graduation, but has transitioned to running our website, wine club, and social media platforms. She is also a part of the harvest crew, sales team (she's our SoCal rep), and plays a big role in the tasting and curation of our wine portfolio.

Natalie Vau

Natalie is the youngest of the sisters! She is finding her place at Cox Family Vineyards and looks forward to maintaining the farming heritage alongside her sisters. She is an aspiring commercial (product) photographer and will be graduating from the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in 2022. Until then, you can find her work on Instagram: @natalieallysephotgrapy.

Charlie is our easy-going, lovable black Lab who has grown up running around Cox Vineyards. He's a great watch dog! He loves riding shotgun around the ranch, eating treats like they're his last, looking for wildlife, getting belly rubs, and taking long naps wherever's shadiest. The ranch is his ultimate happy place and he can spend hours patrolling the grounds.

Scout is a total love bug, wanting kisses and cuddles literally every second of the day. Growing up on a ranch, Scout has gotten into his fair share of trouble, namely getting sprayed by every skunk he comes across. He's our not-so-miniature Australian Shepherd who loves is always up for adventure and often wanders down the hill to see what's going on at the shop.

Leroy gets his name from our beloved founder, Jack Leroy Cox. He's Whitney and husband Carson's yellow Lab who loves napping, but suddenly gets a ton of energy when he's around the other dogs! You can't miss his shrill bark and sweet face. He will never pass up food, of any kind, and has been known to sneak treats when no one's around.

Theodore (Teddy) is Lauren's sweet city-turned-country cat and is named after 26th U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, who was a conservationist and ultimate lover of nature. He loves climbing trees, playing hide-n-seek, and finding field mice in the vineyards. He loves company, especially the ranch dogs.

Ranger is the newest member of the Cox Vineyards family! He's a miniature Aussie with tons of energy and a funny personality. He has quickly become accustomed to the ranch lifestyle and loves long walks and swimming in the nearby ponds.
